Safely celebrate your upcoming commencement ceremony with us on The Rooftop at Pier 17. Your students and their families will have the unique opportunity to commemorate the special day outdoors at our custom designed, socially distanced, mini lawns while savoring the iconic NYC skyline. We have created an environment that’s safe, unique and completely turnkey. With on-site amenities including a holding area for students and faculty, plug and play A/V packages, nearby restaurants and one-of-a-kind photo opportunities, Pier 17 provides everything you need to safely celebrate this special occasion.

Health & Safety

The mini lawns on The Rooftop at Pier 17 have been custom designed to ensure guest and staff safety and to adhere to all government guidelines. Masks are required to be worn at all times and remember to keep 6 feet between you and other visiting guests. Hand sanitizing stations have been placed around the venue and we’ve increased our cleaning throughout the complex. In addition, we will have dedicated staff scheduled for the event to thoroughly clean in between each ceremony.

Personalized Entry Moment

Set the stage with a customized entry experience! Our state-of-the-art atrium LED screens can be personalized and programmed with your school logo and welcome message viewable to guests as they ride the escalators up to the rooftop.

Pre Ceremony Holding Area

The Green Room is our fully built out, private event space conveniently located on the 3rd floor of the pier, giving your faculty and students an area to prep before the ceremony begins.
